Radiofrequency Ablation
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a specialized procedure used to reduce pain. It is an advanced non-surgical technique that targets the source of pain by applying radiofrequency waves to interrupt the pain signals. Most commonly the target nerves are identified by applying a diagnostic nerve block prior to the radiofrequency ablation. Radiofrequency ablation is a safe, effective minimally invasive treatment option which can be used to provide long-lasting pain relief.
How It Helps
A radiofrequency ablation can be effective in treating conditions including chronic low back and neck pain, as well as pain related to degeneration of joints from arthritis.
