Spinal Cord Stimulator
A spinal cord stimulator is a specialized implantable device that can be used to treat difficult to control pain conditions. Spinal cord stimulators work by sending electrical impulses to the nerves to block the pain signals. Prior to implanting the device, the spinal cord stimulator will be tested in the body to establish that the device works to reduce the pain.
How It Helps
A spinal cord stimulator trial can be used to treat failed back surgery, post-laminectomy syndrome, radiculopathy, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, and complex regional pain syndrome.
