Sacroiliac Joint Injection

The sacroiliac joint is a very common source of low back pain. The sacroiliac joint is a large joint which comprises of the sacrum (tailbone) and the ilium (hip bone). The sacroiliac joint injection helps to diagnose the source of a patient’s pain as well as providing therapeutic pain relief. When the source of the patient’s pain is identified, treatment with an anti-inflammatory medication can help to relieve the pain symptoms.
